Feb Wall Decor
Making the wall hanging was fun. I equate it to making three cards that I find enjoyable to look at for a month. I hope you agree.
Panel #1
I used a piece of chipboard-like material (found in the back of all SU DSP)and cut it to the desired size of 6X5. I used Snail adhesive to attach a piece of DSP paper from the "Sending Love Speciality" pack. I distressed the edges with Regal Rose ink. I used the Petal Card die to cut a piece of Rose Red and Whisper White CS. I ran the WW Pedal Card through the "Perfect Polka Dot" embossing folder. I removed two flaps from the WW so that it was heart shaped and fit neatly within the Rose Red Petal Card die cut. I secured the Rose Red Heart Pouch with Snail Adhesive to the DSP. Using the stamp set "I (Heart) Hearts" I stamped varies hearts using Real Red, Pretty In Pink, and Rose Red inks onto CS (PIP,WW,and Rose Red).I punched them out using the "Full Heart," "Small Heart" and the "Heart to Heart" punches. Using the Embosslits Die "Scalloped Heart of Hearts" I cut CS from WW, Real Red, PIP, and Rose Red. Using dimenstionals, I popped up the various hearts. Next I used the "Two-Bird Step" punch and added a red "Epoxy Brad" to finish off the pouch. I added one "Real Red Corduroy Button" to complete the panel.
Panel #2
I used the same size for the chipboard-like material and but used a different paper from the DSP "Sending Love Speciality". I used WW CS, punched it out with the "XL Fancy Flower" punch and then embossed it with the "Perfect Polka Dots" folder and decorated it with hearts using the "Small Hearts" punch and DSP. A pink "Epoxy Brad" was added to the center. I added a "Pretty In Pink Corduroy Button" to the middle of a flower print on the DSP. The decorated "Love Note" was sent to me by Gayle Gibbons (fellow SU demo)and was the focal point for this panel. She used DSP,stamped with "I (Heart) to Hearts" set and scissor cut the large heart and used the "Small Heart" punch for the Real Red "Love" hearts. She finished it off using a red "Epoxy Brad".
Panel #3
I had seen this penguin couple on another blog and decided to CASE them (Sorry I can't find my reference). I used the following punches:
1 1/4 circle: heads
Small oval: bill, arms, and cut up portions for purse and handle
Wide oval : main body
Large oval: center of body (white)
Heart to Heart: face and heart being held
Curly label: corner of punch-out for flap on purse
Round Tab: feet
The eyes were created using the Crop-A-Dile and highlighted with the Singo white gel pen.
I selected another piece of DSP for this panel and trimmed it with a one-half inch piece of Bravo Burgundy CS punched with the "Pinking Hearts Boarder". The "Petal Card" die was used to create the large heart out of Rose Red CS. The heart was stamped using the "I (Heart)Hearts" set and Bravo Burgundy ink and one heart using the "Small Hearts" punch. Items from the "Pretties Kit" were used to pierce the heart. The WW CS heart was punched using the "Full Heart" punch and run through the "Perfect Polka Dot" folder. The other heart uses Bravo Burgundy CS and the Embosslit "Scalloped Heart of Hearts".
The holes in each corner were punched using the "Crop-A-Dile" and held together using "Very Vanilla" taffeta ribbon.
It took longer to write this description than it did to construct the panels.

Valentine Card 1
I really like how this card turned out. It was so simple and the DSP Sending Love Speciality paper made it so easy to assemble. Besides the DSP I used Real Red, Whisper White and Pretty In Pink card stock. The ribbon is PIP taffeta and the PIP brads add a nice touch. The only stamping was done with Real Red Ink using the Level 1 Hostess Set Holiday Best. Just so easy.

Valentine Treat Boxes
The box to the left I cut 4 Scallop Envelopes from cardstock (2 Whisper White and 2 Real Red)using the Big Shot. I adhered the inside flaps and the bottom flaps together with Sticky Strip. I cut a 2 1/4 inch X 12 inch strip of DSP: Sending Love Speciality and another piece 2 1/4 inch X 2 inch strip and adhered it with Snail Adhesive to cover the sides of the box.I used more Snail Adhesive to secure the scalloped flaps against the sides of the box.I decorated the box with Pretty In Pink Taffata Ribbon, used the Scalloped Hearts of Hearts Embossilit to cut two hearts - one PIP and the other using RR CS, and used Mini Glue dots to hold them together. I used a SU Dimensional behind the hearts. Next I used the Two-step Bird Punch with DSP and Old Olive CS and added a Dimensional behind. The directions for the Scallop Envelope Box can be found on SplitCoastStampers site.

The Petal Card box on the right uses 4 cuts from the Petal Card die. I used Bravo Burgundy CS. I adhered the sides together using Sticky Strip. Next I cut another Petal card using DSP from the Sending Love Speciality pack. I trimmed the flaps to fit the BB CS and adhered them with Snail Adhesive, I cut 4-2 1/4 squares and adhered them to the sides. Using the Scalloped Hearts of Hearts Embosslit I cut 2 WW and 2 PIP hearts and used Dimensionals. I finished the box by inserting Pretty In Pink Epoxy Brads in each flap. This idea came from a blog I believe by Dawn Renee Oliver.
Both boxes can be used for party favors

BiFold Card
I can't believe I have not posted a card since September. I have been busy traveling, surfing many blogs and cased several of my cards for the holidays. My New Year's resolution is to post at least once a week. With that in mind I created a bifold card for my first post of 2010.
The January 5- April 30 Occasions Mini has so many wonderful additions to the SU family that it was fun creating a card using a few of the new products and blending them with the established. Using Whisper White CS I trimmed the bi-fold edges with the new “Pinking Hearts” border punch and lined the back with Real Red CS. I used a stamp from the new set “I (Heart) Hearts” on the front of the card. To create the label I used WWCS and punched it with the “Curly Label” and with the “Curly Label” die (Movers and Shakers) made a backdrop with RRCS. The saying is from the stamp set “Owl Together Now”. I punched the curly label with the smallest heart on the “Heart To Heart” punch so the RRCS shows through.
The inside uses both stamp sets again to convey the message of love. The “Love heart” is first stamped and than punched using the new punch “Small Heart” and set using a SU dimensional. The owl and branch are colored with SU markers.
This also makes a cute ATC.
