Just wanted to share a quick an easy gift idea. I CASED Krista's 4X4 Note Cards and holder with the new In Colors. Makes a quick gift and is easy to do. Hardest part is waiting for the ink to dry.

New In Colors 2009-2010

Ribbons and Papers and Markers Oh My! The countdown to July 1st has begun. The new in- colors are awesome. The ribbon is unique in that on one side you have the playful polka dots and flip it over and a solid grosgrain ribbon color appears. How cool is that? The new catty is filled with so many surprises. The Designer Series Paper is undescribable (you will just have to look) and don't get me started on the other accessories there is not enough space here to mention them all. The stamps - what can I say - you will just have to look. That's all I'm saying about that.

Mini Magazine Note Holder

When I came across this Mini Magazine Note Holder on Becky Roberts blog http://www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com/ I knew I had to make one. It holds 3x3 note cards with envelopes. I used Pale Plum and Elegant Eggplant CS and DSP Perfect Plum for trimming. I used the 5-Petal Flower punch, white button from the Cafe Au Lait button Collection and some hemp twine.
The note cards are made with Confetti Cream CS and decorated to create an assortment of styles.

Flower Pot Card

In an attempt to use up current supplies before they retire at the end of June I tried the Flower Pot card using the template designed by Andrea Walford at www.andreawalford. com. The insert of the flower pot pulls out and can be used to write your comments (i.e, Get Well, Thanks A Bunch, Thinking of You) or use rub-ons. For the flowers and leaves (kiwi kiss) I used the Sizzlets Set Birds and Blooms die Large Flower (apricot) with Riding Hood Red Designer Button Bouquet and linen thread, and the die Flower Pieces (Pacific Blue and Baja Breeze) with a So Saffron brad from Rich Regals collection. Another Large Flower using Designer Paper from Sweet Slumber and a Baja Breeze button from the Designer Button series Button Bouquet. Finally a Pink Pirouette flower from the Fleurette Collection with a Brocade Blue brad in the center. I folded the leaves in half for dimenson and brought the flower petals up a little for depth. I used mini dots to hold the flowers and leaves to the top of the insert card. Using the templates by Andrea I placed them on the textured card stock(Sweet Slumber) and folded where indicated. I finished the flower pot off with a piece of white taffata ribbon. The hardest part of the card was deciding what flowers I wanted to use.

Tri-Fold Shutter Card

Since I first saw the Tri-Fold card on Joyce's blog http://www.stamperjoyce.blogspot.com/ I have wanted to try my hand at making it. On the left it shows you the front of the card and on the right is the view of the card opened. I started with a 12x12" piece of textured cardstock. I used Pretty In Pink and the Designer Paper Candy Lane (Retiring June 30th) for my trim. I cut the cardstock so it was 5.5" tall. This size will easily fit into an invitation size envelope. I scored at 4" and 8" and then proceeded to score 1" from the top and 1" from the bottom at 2" and 10". Joyce provided a diagram to help us visual people understand. I used my craft knife to cut from the 2" score to the 10" score at both the top and the bottom of the CS. I added the Designer Paper to the surface of the Pretty In Pink CS. In some instances I left a slight boarder and in others proceeded with a solid strip of paper.

The next card I placed a square of Bella Rose Designer Series Paper (retiring the end of this month) behind the cut flower, added a felt flower (Flower Fusion), a white brad (Jumbo Brads), Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon (also retiring) and stamped the corner with Classic Riding Hood Red Ink again using the Fresh Cuts Stamp Set.

Fresh Cut Notecards

I find these note cards so easy to use and so versatile. The note cards already have the flower die cut into them, The first card I stamped with the Fresh Cuts Stamp Set using Pacific Blue Classic Ink (soon to be retired), added a square of Pacific Blue cardstock on the inside of the notecard, and punched out some flowers. The first one is Baja Breeze cardstock (also retiring) with the 5 petal flower punch, and then used Rose Red cardstock with the Boho Bloosoms punch and added a Designer Series Flower brad.
