Tri-Fold Shutter Card

Since I first saw the Tri-Fold card on Joyce's blog I have wanted to try my hand at making it. On the left it shows you the front of the card and on the right is the view of the card opened. I started with a 12x12" piece of textured cardstock. I used Pretty In Pink and the Designer Paper Candy Lane (Retiring June 30th) for my trim. I cut the cardstock so it was 5.5" tall. This size will easily fit into an invitation size envelope. I scored at 4" and 8" and then proceeded to score 1" from the top and 1" from the bottom at 2" and 10". Joyce provided a diagram to help us visual people understand. I used my craft knife to cut from the 2" score to the 10" score at both the top and the bottom of the CS. I added the Designer Paper to the surface of the Pretty In Pink CS. In some instances I left a slight boarder and in others proceeded with a solid strip of paper.

  1. Hey!! Congrats on your new blog -- it looks GREAT!!

Your tri-shutter card looks fantastic! Great choice of colors and stamps... and smart use of the birds on the DSP! Wish I had thought of that, lol!

  2. Love your shutter card! Hate to see that paper go!
