Valentine Treat Boxes

The box to the left I cut 4 Scallop Envelopes from cardstock (2 Whisper White and 2 Real Red)using the Big Shot. I adhered the inside flaps and the bottom flaps together with Sticky Strip. I cut a 2 1/4 inch X 12 inch strip of DSP: Sending Love Speciality and another piece 2 1/4 inch X 2 inch strip and adhered it with Snail Adhesive to cover the sides of the box.I used more Snail Adhesive to secure the scalloped flaps against the sides of the box.I decorated the box with Pretty In Pink Taffata Ribbon, used the Scalloped Hearts of Hearts Embossilit to cut two hearts - one PIP and the other using RR CS, and used Mini Glue dots to hold them together. I used a SU Dimensional behind the hearts. Next I used the Two-step Bird Punch with DSP and Old Olive CS and added a Dimensional behind. The directions for the Scallop Envelope Box can be found on SplitCoastStampers site.

The Petal Card box on the right uses 4 cuts from the Petal Card die. I used Bravo Burgundy CS. I adhered the sides together using Sticky Strip. Next I cut another Petal card using DSP from the Sending Love Speciality pack. I trimmed the flaps to fit the BB CS and adhered them with Snail Adhesive, I cut 4-2 1/4 squares and adhered them to the sides. Using the Scalloped Hearts of Hearts Embosslit I cut 2 WW and 2 PIP hearts and used Dimensionals. I finished the box by inserting Pretty In Pink Epoxy Brads in each flap. This idea came from a blog I believe by Dawn Renee Oliver.

Both boxes can be used for party favors
